. October 14, 2008

CHICAGO, IL, May 4, 2006. The Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro Hotel (733 West Madison at Halsted, Chicago; telephone 312-829-5000), is host to Chicago's who's who in the business, travel and hospitality industry today.

A grand opening celebration honoring Chicago's newest luxury hotel provides attendees with a dreamy encounter, focusing on everything that the Chicago Metro has to offer in luxury sleeping accommodations, meeting space and dining.

Everyone attending the gala celebration will be treated to their selection of complimentary spa services including makeovers, manicures, mini massages for women; shoe shines, shaves, and mini-massages for men, and readings by Chicago's top soothsayers.

"We want everyone to have fun. So often these types of parties are boring. We're using the idea of an adult slumber party and providing activities what we'd personally enjoy with the hope that everyone will enjoy it equally. We all work so hard; there's nothing like a little pampering to get you in a good mood," said general manager Leonard Mendiola. "Our business is to pamper and to provide the best possible experience. We have other goodies and surprises in store and look forward to a fun and memorable evening."

The Chicago Metro, is operated by Mid-City Plaza, LLC and managed by F & F Realty, Ltd. that also operates the Crowne Plaza Silversmith, the Crowne Plaza North Shore, and the Doubletree Chicago Arlington Heights, is Chicago's newest urban oasis-where chic design meets form, function and versatility. It is the ideal venue for mixing business and pleasure in the ever burgeoning West Loop area, just walking distance to Chicago's central business (and shopping, theater and dining!) districts.

The Chicago Metro offers 398 guest rooms, including 42 suites (Presidential, Ambassador, and 40 Executive suites). All rooms provide the functional amenities in perfect step with today's plugged-in traveler-flat screen high definition television; high speed Internet access; cordless telephone; CD clock radio; coffee maker; in-room safe (large enough to fit a lap-top computer); individually controlled thermostat and weekday newspaper delivery-as well as the little luxuries that make a good night great: every room is outfitted with a private balcony (breathtaking skyline view of Chicago included!) and a sound-blocking double glass door that lets fresh air in and keeps the hustle-and-bustle of the city out. Additional luxuries include a "sleep kit" (eye mask, soothing sleep CD, lavender spray...and more), and spa-like "rain" nozzle for every shower...and that's just a sampling of the traveler's treats. For suite guests needing a "lift," The Chicago Metro even offers use of its very own Hummer with driver, available for guests staying in the hotel's suites.

The hotel was designed by Ronna Friedman of Designsense and Courtney Doyle of Lane Studios. The architect is Mehran Farahmandpour of Maemar P.C.

The hotel epitomizes sophisticated luxury; it sports an ultra-contemporary interior design, rich in color and texture, and has been masterfully crafted detail-by-detail. From the black French limestone flooring in the lobby to the dimmer-switch lamps in each guest room, Chicago Metro welcomes the traveler for a premium overnight experience-from floor to ceiling.

Chicago Metro is the ideal home-away-from-home for weekday business travelers and an ideal venue for meeting and convention planners. Available guest services include full concierge, valet, laundry and dry cleaning services; a fully-equipped fitness center; high-speed WI-FI in public spaces, a business center; more than 8,000 square feet of meeting and banquet facility space and an executive board room. All meeting rooms are wired with WI-FI and state-of-the-art sound and lighting. A/V and videoconferencing equipment, secretarial assistance and other business services, like photocopy/fax or additional meeting supplies, are also available.

Chicago Metro is certain to be a popular spot for the locals, too. Chicagoans seeking the perfect weekend spot will relax in this urban getaway destination that is close to many of Chicago's finest attractions (pets are even welcome!).

Dine, the new restaurant adjacent to the hotel, a retro-1940's American brasserie and martini bar, has become a popular dining destination. Dine presents an exciting 1940's inspired d'ecor and serving exceptional food at a moderate price point, is a favorite choice for a business meal as well as personal dining. The restaurant was conceived to serve the needs of the young, dynamic and sophisticated residents of the West Loop area. It is open seven days a week and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in stylish, relaxed in- and outdoor settings.

Catered functions large and small are always welcomed the The Chicago Metro and it is one of Chicago's few hotels that offer a complete Kosher kitchen for private functions.
