MADRID, Spain, May 9, 2006. CULTOUR, a new travel trade show specialized in promoting international cultural travel with take place alternatively in Spain and in the USA.
The first edition of CULTOUR will be held in a 1.100 years old cultural travel venue: Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain, the end and goal of a eleven centuries long and continuous road of a pilgrimage tour from all Europe to reach the tomb of the apostle St. James.
In the year 2008, CULTOUR will take place in Las Vegas, also an important cultural center with the world's largest and most diverse entertainment offer.
CULTOUR will be a two days trade show where worldwide exhibitors will promote travel and tourism services to international wholesalers, tour operators and travel agencies selling cultural travel packages in its wide variety: city breaks, archaeology, cities of art, historic venues, cultural events, city or regional festivals, religious events, religious pilgrimage, music festivals or concerts, dance, theatre, musical shows, museums, cellar visits, gastronomy, ethnic festivals, natural sciences tours, sport events, scientific cruises, folkloric events,
As a novelty, CULTOUR will have a "hosted buyer program" comprised of product or purchasing managers of tour operators wholesaling cultural travel as well as travel agencies selling their our cultural travel programs, both from key markets such as Japan, China, the USA and Europe. Exhibitors will have the chance to purchase pre-arranged meetings with these hosted buyers.
A cultural program -aside from the trade show hours- will be offered to the hosted buyers and trade visitors as well as post-event fam-tours will be arranged for the hosted buyers.
