New Gondola Tours Along Ft. Lauderdale's Waterways
FT LAUDERDALE, FL, May 18, 2006. Greater Fort Lauderdale, a destination long known as the "Venice of America," now offers authentic Venetian Gondola tours along its 300 miles of inland waterways. Skilled gondoliers lead private tours along Greater Fort Lauderdale's superb canal system aboard hand-carved wooden boats crafted by genuine gondola-makers from Italy.
Departing from a dock along Stork's Caf'e at 1109 East Las Olas Boulevard, "Gondola Servizio" tours start at the historic Himmarshee Canal and proceed to the majestic New River. Stork's Caf'e can even arrange a romantic meal while on board. Gondolier Angelino Sandri sings enchanting Italian melodies as passengers enjoy spectacular scenery. Tours of 30 and 60 minutes are regularly available, and longer tours can be specially arranged in advance. The tours are always private and can accommodate up to six passengers per gondola.

Stork's Caf'e Gondola Servizio tours are available Wednesday-Friday from 5:00-11:00 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from noon-11:00 pm. Half-hour tours are $50 per couple, $10 for each additional person; hour-long tours are $120 for the first couple and $10 for each additional person.
