HK & Shanghai Hotels May Open in Europe
HONG KONG, China, May 19, 2006. Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels Ltd. is exploring the possibility of setting up hotels in Europe, Chairman Michael Kadoorie told reporters.
Kadoorie, speaking after the annual shareholders meeting of the luxury hotel operator, said there are opportunities for the company in Europe, though 'it is a bit premature' to disclose any plans.
Chief Executive Clement Kwok added the company isn't in a hurry to expand. 'We prefer to focus on a small number of projects at any time.'
