SynXis Answers the Hospitality Industry's Interface Needs with RedXTM

(Clarification to the original June 6, 2006 press release)

. October 14, 2008

SOUTHLAKE, TX, June 16, 2006. SynXis, the Sabre Holdings (NYSE:TSG) business that provides reservation management, distribution and technology services for hotels around the world, announced today two new integration products: Property Connect and Channel Connect. These two offerings enable SynXis customers to send data and reservations seamlessly from the RedX Distribution Management System to and from other hotel systems and to and from the numerous and emerging travel distributors and retailers around the world.

Most hotels operate a dozen or more disparate systems to manage their business operations. For years the industry has struggled to make these systems interoperable, and as a result, hotel staffs have spent many frustrating hours managing and duplicating data in multiple systems. SynXis has solved the problem for its customers by implementing an integration services architecture using the Open Travel Alliance (OTA) standard XML specifications which help enable flexible and robust integration products.

Property Connect addresses the growing demand of hotels to integrate reservations from RedX to their property's PMS. In the first quarter of 2006, SynXis has seen a 45% jump in the volume of reservations integrating directly from RedX into the various PMSs. Property Connect also makes it quick and easy for RedX to interface with a hotel's other critical systems such as those that manage Yield Management, CRM and even Spa and Golf reservation functions.

SynXis has successfully implemented Property Connect in hundreds of hotels, connecting RedX with dozens of the most popular PMSs. Agilysys Lodging Management System is one of the PMS interfaces in place with Property Connect. "We have many mutual customers with SynXis so creating an interface with them was a logical step for both of us," commented Tina Stehle, Vice President Software Services of Agilysys. "Their standard specifications were simple and flexible so we were able to complete the work in an efficient manner."

With both "one-way" and "two-way" interfaces, Property Connect automates critical tasks such as: reservation delivery, inventory and rate updating, stay controls (or booking rules) management, reservation and profile synchronization and yielding functionalities.

Channel Connect integrates RedX directly to third party travel sites such as Travelocity and Groople as well as custom-built booking engines. Channel Connect enables hotels to better differentiate their products by providing information such as detailed stay policies and child pricing directly to retail points of sales.

"We are proud to be able to offer these powerful integration technologies to RedX customers. Other industries have had great success subscribing to 'open standards.' Because we have implemented web services and support OTA standards, we are able to overcome many challenges of custom software development, and our customers will reap the benefits," commented Bill Nicholson, CEO of SynXis. "Our technology innovations will continue to drive distribution for our properties."

Clarification:

In the June 6th version of this press release, SynXis mentioned supporting the HTNG specifications. While it is true that SynXis' intent is to be compliant with the specification, becoming certified with HTNG, and is working toward those goals, the HTNG specifications have not yet been ratified. Since the specifications aren't final, the original statement was slightly, though unintentionally, inaccurate and could have been misconstrued. We apologize for any confusion.
