Fairfax International Expands with Award-Winning Hotels
LONDON, UK, July 4, 2006. UK-based hotel membership specialists Fairfax International have been on a fast-track to international expansion. Thus far in 2006, Fairfax has gained prestigious new contracts in Egypt, Ukraine, Malta, Portugal and South Africa amongst other international destinations.
In April, Fairfax celebrated the launch of its latest Private Label membership and perhaps the most prestigious hotel club they have yet developed, on behalf of the luxurious Donbass Palace Hotel in Ukraine, a member of Leading Hotels of the World. Taking the concept of hotel loyalty programmes to new levels of luxury, 'DP Club: In association with Cartier' is an exclusive club designed to reward the wealthy and influential clients of Donbass Palace with a selection of gifts from the renowned French jeweller Cartier. Also available to members are once-in-a-lifetime trips to some of The Leading Hotels of the World, including world famous destination properties such as New York Palace, Grand Hotel Wein, Palace of the Lost City and Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa. The five-star Donbass Palace was awarded 'Ukraine's Leading Hotel' at World Travel Awards 2005.
May saw the launch of one of Fairfax's 'Classic Privilege' memberships on behalf of the stunning Savoy Sharm El Sheikh Resort. The specially designed membership called 'Savoy Rewards' is designed to tap into the lucrative Egyptian market to provide year-round revenue for this versatile resort which was voted 'Egypt's Leading Resort' at World Travel Awards 2005. The membership promises to offer more value, pampering and innovative privileges than ever previously offered in the dynamic Egyptian market.
Also in May, Fairfax concluded the successful 16-week launch and sales campaign of the Platinum Club on behalf of Fortina Spa Resort in Malta. Timed to coincide with the recent opening of the resort's fantastic Five-Star Tower and expanded spa facilities, the membership programme proved a great success. Joining gives the substantial number of Maltese members special privileges when visiting the resort's eight restaurants including the latest, called Taste, featuring cuisine from UK celebrity chef Tom Kime. Fortina Spa Resort was awarded 'Malta's Leading Spa Resort' at World Travel Awards 2005.
John Pressgrove, Chief Executive of Fairfax International says, 'We are understandably proud of our excellent reputation and amazing client retention rates in the UK and Ireland. After a sleepy decade with regards to expansion, we wanted to take our successful quality-led approach to new parts of the world. I could not be happier to see that the results are paying off so quickly and especially happy to be working with so many excellent award-winning properties. We will show even more innovation with hotel memberships in development in Portugal and South Africa - including one of our exclusive Private Label memberships for The Saxon in Johannesburg, for five years running voted 'World's Leading Boutique Hotel' at World Travel Awards.'
