SARASOTA, FL, Juky 3, 2006. Sarasota-based Michael Saunders & Company has been appointed the exclusive broker for the new 2,700-acre Roco Ki luxury oceanfront community in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Currently under construction, Roco Ki is located in the Punta Cana Region of the Dominican Republic's East Coast, and will be one of the largest developments in the Caribbean. The destination resort community, which stretches along six kilometers on the Atlantic Ocean, will feature private residences, world-renowned hotels, a world-class marina, an 18-hole Nick Faldo-designed championship golf course, full-service spa, and watersports center. The luxury resort community's name, Roco Ki, means "honoring the land," in Taino, the language of the indigenous population who originally inhabited the area where Roco Ki is situated. From its symbolic logo, which depicts a turtle, to architectural features and design treatments, the resort community will reflect many of the unique and colorful characteristics of the area's history, culture and the Taino people who were the area's original settlers.
