Government Services Division
JULY 7, 2006. Certain Software(R) (www.certain.com), the leading provider of strategic meeting and event management solutions, today announced the appointment of Diane Stoner to the position of director for its growing Government Services Division. Ms. Stoner will drive sales and business development initiatives from the company's Washington DC office, increasing Certain Software's presence among federal government agencies and affiliate organizations.
Ms. Stoner joins Certain Software as the Government group experiences a series of significant milestones, highlighted by an office expansion in Washington, DC, new client wins, and certification with the United States General Services Administration (GSA), accrediting Certain Software to offer its signature product Register123(TM) directly to U.S. federal agencies through the influential GSA IT Schedule 70 (contract number GS-35F-0885R).
Other milestones for the division include recent availability of Register123 on the GSA Advantage website (www.gsaadvantage.com), the one-stop shopping source that meets government procurement needs. Addition to the site ensures that government meeting planners will find the most current pricing, a comprehensive list of Certain Software products and services, and the ability to purchase Register123 quickly and for the best value. Certain is also accredited with the SBA (Small Business Administration) to ensure flexibility and control for the technology needs of small business.
Ms. Stoner brings more than 12 years of leadership and management experience in sales and marketing, training, and association management to her new role as director for the growing Government Services Division. She rejoins Certain Software after serving as the company's Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager, where she led efforts to sign on one of the company's first and largest government contracts, and developed corporate, small business, non-profit and government accounts. Most recently, Ms. Stoner was the director of business development for Accelerant Studios, an integrated internal communications firm, where she worked with clients to identify web and print design opportunities, building strategic partnerships and vendor relationships.
As training manager for gomembers, Inc., an association management software developer, Ms. Stoner oversaw classroom and custom client-site training on proprietary association management and meeting planning software, and developed strategic marketing programs, working with organizations like the American Red Cross, DirecTV, Baxter Healthcare, Georgetown University, and the American Dental Association. Prior, she served as the executive director for a national political association of attorneys, managing all aspects of the association including finances, communications and marketing initiatives, membership recruitment, sponsor recruitment, print publications, e-publications and events.
Ms. Stoner holds a B.A. in Communications/Art from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Virginia, and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Technology Management program at the University of Maryland, University College.
