GreenTree Inn is Now One of the "Top 100 Franchising and Chain Business in China"
Contributing to its great performance in franchising and chain business management, GreenTree Inn's name showed up on the list--"Top 100 Franchising and Chain Business in China, 2008", which is published by China Chain Business Organization. Now, GreenTree Inn serves as a role model in the economic hotel chain business.
This year's "Top 100 Franchising and Chain Business in China" is the first list in this business, which is based on the annual industrial survey held by China Franchising and Chain Business Organization. Because of its authority and demonstration, this list aims to protect the interests of investors and promote the development of this industry. Because various franchising and chain business industries are at different levels of development in China, the top 100 corporations covered 11 categories in this list, including the supermarket, garment, agriculture, food, education and training, and hotel industries. With 388 headquarters, 240 chain hotels and 13000 employees, GreenTree Inn won third place on the list of the hotel category.
According to its business development department, GreenTree is the first of all economy hotels to receive a franchising license. And because GreenTree brands itself as a business hotel rather than an economic hotel, it is more attractive to chain investors. Currently, statistics show that there are 300,000 registered hotels in China. Among these are only 16,000 star hotels and 2,000 brand or chain economic hotels; the rest are smaller, socially run hotels. From now on, the mainstream for hotel investment will definitely be focused on turning those small hotels into brand economyones. By choosing a well-known franchising and chain hotel business with a guaranteed brand name, investors will be able to protect themselves from poor quality and economic loss. This year, GreenTree will deepen its expansion with the plan of 100 new chain hotels in China.
There are already 140 GreenTree Inn hotels in 60 cities in China so far, and the amount will reach 300, including all the contracts of hotels yet to be built.
