Solare Opens Chisun Inn Karuizawa
In One of Japan's Most Popular and Idyllic Mountain Resorts
JULY 1, 2009 - Solare Hotels & Resorts Co. Ltd. will open Chisun Inn Karuizawa, the first resort hotel among Solare's roadside hotels. The hotel is located in one of the leading mountain resort towns of Karuizawa in Nagano Prefecture, and is a five-minute drive from Karuizawa Station.
Every summer, visitors flock to Karuizawa to escape the sweltering heat and enjoy recreational activities such as hiking, cycling, tennis and golf. In the winter, Karuizawa offers skiing and skating. In addition, the resort town is well known for sightseeing, a variety of excellent restaurants and shopping all year round. Karuizawa continues to grow steadily, having greatly benefited from international exposure as the site of the curling event at the Nagano Winter Olympic Games of 1998. Thanks to the construction of the Joshinetsu Expressway and the Nagano Bullet Train, Karuizawa is easily accessible from Tokyo and the rest of Japan.
The newly built, two-story, 90-room hotel is designed in harmony with nature, and meets the strict municipal standards that preserve the atmosphere and history of this resort area. Chisun Inn Karuizawa also offers a meeting room for up to 12 participants, and the hotel is available to host off-site meetings, training camps and other events.
Solare Hotels & Resorts CEO A.G. Virili stated, 'We are excited to announce that Chisun Inn Karuizawa is Solare's first property to combine the convenience of a roadside hotel with the relaxing atmosphere of a resort.
