Alliance and Armada Hoffler JV Opens Hilton Garden Inn
FAIRFAX / BLACKSBURG, VA, August 12, 2009 - Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. today announced the opening of the new Hilton Garden Inn Blacksburg, VA. The 137 guestroom hotel is located near the Virginia Tech campus and the Virginia Tech Research Center, as well as area businesses and leisure amenities such as the Pete Dye River Golf Course at Virginia Tech.
The Hilton Garden Inn Blacksburg is owned by a joint venture between Alliance Hospitality, a private equity joint venture real estate fund created by Barcelo Crestline Corporation (the parent company of Crestline Hotels & Resorts) and Armada Hoffler, a leading commercial real estate and Construction Company, along with Bruce Smith Enterprise, LLC. Alliance Hospitality was created to focus on the development and construction of high-quality hotels and also owns the 236 guestroom Westin Virginia Beach hotel which opened in November 2007.

For meetings there is 1,280 square feet of divisible meeting space plus an additional 850 square feet of pre-function space that opens to an outdoor patio.
