The Catalan company also manages the Barcelona Catedral Hotel.
SEPTEMBER 4, 2009 - IZAKA, a Barcelona- based hospitality company specialized in managing boutique hotels, has taken on the former Prestige Passeig de Gr`acia in Barcelona. The hotel has been renovated to begin a new era. IZAKA has invested 600,000EUR to update all the facilities and offer the best service to its customers.
The hotel will open doors on September 18th. The owners have fully renovated the 4-star hotel, providing a fresh and new air, while keeping the original design of Catalan architect Maria Vives. The SixtyTwo, as it will be known from now on, is located on the most prestigious avenue of the city, within walking distance from Gaud'i's Casa Batll'o and La Pedrera.
The hotel is a mixture of minimalist design and Asian inspiration, in a 19th century building. Its 45 rooms and suites are fully equipped with Bang&Olufsen TV, Jacob Jensen telephones, Tangent taps and Etro bathroom products, as well as iPod stations. The SixtyTwo is a boutique hotel for customers looking for exclusiveness, privacy provided by a small hotel and a personalized service.
For Jordi Frigola, IZAKA's CEO, "the SixtyTwo offers us the opportunity of implementing our main challenge as a company: providing our guests hotels with personality and style along with personalized, creative and unique services. The objective is that our guests enjoy the hotel as well as Barcelona."
IZAKA was founded by Catalan entrepreneur Jordi Frigola, and is specialized in independent hotels management. IZAKA offers a complete hotel management pack, rigorous and tailored to the specific needs of each hotel. For the company, every hotel is a unique project, with its own personality and deserves and individualized treatment that cannot be given by any hospitality chain. At this moment IZAKA manages the Barcelona Catedral Hotel and the SixtyTwo.
