Carlson Adds 15 New Properties to Global Portfolio

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, September 6, 2006. Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced that the company has added 15 new locations to its global portfolio of brands in June and July. These include two Radisson Hotels & Resorts(R) hotels in New York City and New Jersey; two Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts properties in Tunisia and Switzerland; eight Country Inns & Suites By Carlsonsm hotels throughout the U.S., plus one in Canada; one Park Plaza(R) Hotels & Resorts property in New Mexico; and one Park Inn(R) by Rezidor SAS in Europe. These additions bring Carlson's global portfolio to 933 hotels with over 145,000 rooms in 71 countries. Carlson hotel brands also include Regent International Hotels.

Radisson Hotels & Resorts

The newest hotels welcomed into the Radisson Hotels & Resorts portfolio are the Radisson Hotel Martinique New York-Broadway in New York City, and the newly built Radisson Hotel Carteret in New Jersey. The New York hotel, which has 530 rooms and is owned by Herald Hotel Associates, L.P., is located in Midtown Manhattan within steps of many of the city's major attractions, including The Empire State Building, Madison State Garden, Fifth Avenue shopping, and Chelsea art galleries and restaurants. The 117-room Radisson Hotel Carteret is just seven miles from Newark Liberty International Airport, and a short drive from the Statue of Liberty, the Jersey Shore, Giants Stadium and The Newark Museum. Two new Radisson SAS properties include the new Radisson SAS Resort & Thalasso on the island of Djerba in Tunisia, and the Radisson SAS Hotel in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Tunisian resort features chic interior d'ecor, is connected to a newly refurbished Thalasso and offers 296 rooms and suites designed in contemporary style. The new 165-room hotel in Lucerne is part of a development center with retail outlets, offices and residential apartments. To date, Radisson's global portfolio includes 406 hotels with over 92,000 guestrooms.

Country Inns & Suites By Carlson

With the addition of the brand's ninth hotel in July, Country Inn & Suites By Carlson celebrated a company milestone  the opening of its 400th hotel. This landmark property, the 100-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Portage, Ind., is owned by Holladay Properties and managed by Swift Hospitality Group. This hotel is the 11th location in the state, and is located near the southern shore of Lake Michigan about 35 minutes east of Chicago.

Other new locations include the 66-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson- Waldorf in Maryland, which is owned by Rushina Lodging, Inc.; the 85-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Queensbury, N.Y.; and the 66-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson-Little Chute in Wisconsin; the 68 room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Boone, N.C., which is owned by AJD Investments, Inc.; the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in London, Ontario, Canada, with 50 rooms and owned by Limark London, LTD; the Creekside Lodging, LLC-owned Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Berea, Ky., with 60 rooms; the 66 room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Loudon, Tenn., which is owned by SUKH Properties, LLC; and the 84 room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Marquette, Mich., owned by Centrup Hospitality, LLC.

All of the new hotels feature traditional brand design elements, including hard wood floors and fire place in the grand lobby. Country Inns & Suites' global hotel count total is 400 hotels with a room count exceeding 31,000.

Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts

The new 314-room Park Plaza Hotel & Conference Center Albuquerque in New Mexico is owned by APHM Carlisle, LLC. The property is conveniently located in the downtown area's central shopping and business districts off Interstate 40, and is only seven miles from the Albuquerque International Airport. This new addition brings the brand's global property count to 42 with over 7,000 guestrooms.

Park Inn

The new Park Inn hotel in Hungary, which was developed by Rezidor SAS, brings the brand's global inventory counts to 82 hotels and over 11,000 guestrooms. The 223-room Park Inn S'arv'ar in the city of S'arv'ar, is newly built and located in the heart of Hungary's world-famous spa region. The hotel is connected to the state-of-the-art S'arv'ar Spa surrounded by spacious landscapes and approximately 11,800 square feet of pools and water features.
