Hampton Inn Opens in Gainesville, FL

. November 25, 2009

November 24, 2009 - Windsor/Aughtry announced today the opening of a brand new Hampton Inn Hotel in downtown Gainesville, Florida. The 124 room, six story hotel is in the center of Gainesville, located on the corner of SE 1st Avenue and SE 1st Street. Business driven from The University of Florida and Shand's Hospital System prompted Windsor/Aughtry and Hampton Inn to build the new hotel. Conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, city parks, and much more, the new Hampton Inn caters to both business and pleasure travelers.
The first floor of the new Gainesville Hampton Inn Hotel is primarily retail space, offering a yogurt shop, convenience store, and a restaurant for its guests and the community, all of which is set to open soon.

The Hampton Inn also offers an outdoor pool and the only meeting space in downtown Gainesville. A main level board room and an additional 2,300 square feet of meeting space make this hotel an ideal place to host a meeting. Hotel guests can also take advantage of convenient parking, enjoying the charm of downtown Gainesville without the hassle of searching for hard to find street parking. The Hampton Inn is already selling out for University of Florida football games, with its popular location being a big draw for out-of-town supporters.

Windsor/Aughtry has developed eight Hampton Inns or Hampton Inns and Suites, primarily in the South East, including Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Hospitality America has been selected to run all of the operations of the hotel, including staffing and maintenance.
