Four Points by Sheraton Opens First Hotel in San Jose, CA
Four Points by Sheraton San Jose Downtown Offers Brand's Rejuvenated Look and Feel in an Iconic, Historic Building
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announces the debut of its Four Points by Sheraton brand in San Jose, California. Four Points by Sheraton San Jose Downtown is housed in the historic Hotel Montgomery, which underwent an extensive $15 million renovation five years ago. Owned by Khanna Enterprise LP, the conveniently located, 86-room hotel targets the self-sufficient traveler with comfortable beds, a social atmosphere and popular extras including complimentary high-speed Internet access.
Listed on California's Register of Historical Places, Four Points by Sheraton San Jose Downtown pays homage to the building's rich history, while showcasing the brand's rejuvenated look and feel. The hotel's eye-catching architectural flourishes and handsome exterior are complemented by classic and comfortable interior design elements refreshed for today, as part of the brand's portfolio-wide rejuvenation. In the past five years, Starwood and its partners have invested more than $1 billion to reinvent Four Points by Sheraton resulting in a 70 percent turnover of the portfolio driven by major property renovations, conversions and new-build hotels.

Fresh coffee is served throughout the day in the hotel's warmly decorated lobby. In the Family Room area, guests can stay connected by using complimentary Internet terminals and enjoy a local craft brew, courtesy of the popular Four Points by Sheraton Best Brews? program. The hotel's restaurant and bar, Mosaic, opens directly to 1st street and includes an attractive outdoor plaza and function area. Additional amenities include a fitness room, discounted access to Bally Fitness, and 1,500 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities.
Guests are walking distance from the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, the California Theater, a variety of boutiques and galleries, and the HP Pavilion - home of the NHL San Jose Sharks. Also nearby are the offices of many leading technology corporations including IBM, Hitachi, Adobe Systems and Agilent Technologies. All downtown San Jose attractions are close to the hotel, including the San Jose Museum of Art, Tech Museum of Innovation and the San Jose Symphony and Opera. The hotel also offers easy access to the San Jose Airport via the San Jose VTA light rail station right outside the hotel's front door.
