ASTA Announces 2010 IDE Photo Contest
Alexandria, VA - April 15, 2010 - Travel agents, including those attending ASTA's upcoming International Destination Expo (Istanbul, April 19-22), now have the opportunity to win a complimentary registration to attend the 2011 International Destination Expo (IDE) in San Juan, Puerto Rico (April 14-17), thanks to the ASTA Turkey Travel Photography Contest. The winner's photo will be published on the new International Destination Expo fan page on Facebook and promoted in various ASTA publications.
“We are always looking to grow interest in the International Destination Expo and what better way than with a photo contest?” said Brooke Daniels, director of sales for ASTA's IDE. “Thanks to sites such as Flickr and Facebook, photo sharing has become incredibly popular and this photo contest not only gives travel agents the chance to share their photographic skills with their peers, but a complimentary registration to next year's event.”
Beginning April 26, travel agent who send in a captioned photo taken in Turkey during the month of April 2010, along with two brief essays— How IDE Benefited Me (word count limit: 300) and What I Loved Most about Turkey (word count limit: 300)— will be entered to win receive complimentary registration to attend IDE Puerto Rico. Submissions should be sent to [email protected]. Contest ends May 28.
