Good Climate for Professional Athletes

TUMON, Guam, January 15, 2007. Every year, Guam welcomes professional players from around the world who keep their edge for the upcoming season by training at a time when their home country is in the midst of winter. The warm temperatures, cooling breezes, and bright sunshine team up on Guam to create an ideal atmosphere for athletes to keep in practice.

Currently several professional sports teams are conducting their Training Camps on Guam and taking advantage of the pleasant climate. The Samsung Lions from Korea are holding their Professional Baseball Training at the Leo Palace Resort until February 10th. Also from Korea, the Incheon United Professional Soccer Team is training at both the Leo Palace Resort and the Harmon Soccer Field until February 16th. Both Korean teams come to Guam regularly to soak up the sunshine and keep on top of their game.

Individuals from three of Japan's premier professional baseball teams will be on Guam through February to train collectively. The pitching staff of the Yomiuri Giants are on island along with members of the Hanshin Tigers and the Chunichi Dragons. All three teams have come to Guam numerous times in the past to train and are always a welcome addition to the island.

Professional soccer and baseball players, motorcross, drag racers, and windsurfers from all over the globe find Guam a great spot to train, relax, and prepare for upcoming seasons. The professionals are flocking to Guam to keep in the game, imagine the possibilities for the visitor who's goals are to simply have a great time!
