London West Hollywood Appoints Velasquez as DoSM

Los Angeles, CA - November 30, 2010 - Tapping an executive with more than 20 years of experience at such hospitality brands as Fairmont, Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, The London West Hollywood has appointed Joe Velasquez to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. Velasquez will oversee the sales and marketing teams for the hotel, Boxwood Cafe and Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood.

With extensive experience in the hospitality field, Velasquez joins The London West Hollywood as the former Director of Sales and Marketing at prestigious hotels and resorts including the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Arizona. At the resort, Velasquez was responsible for high profile events such as the PGA's Phoenix Open and Super Bowl XLII. Before joining the Fairmont, he directed the sales, marketing and public relations efforts at Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii. He previously spent eight years in director positions for Hyatt properties including the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Hyatt Regency La Jolla, and Park Hyatt Los Angeles. In honor of his successful efforts in repositioning the Park Hyatt Los Angeles, Velasquez was nominated for Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. Velasquez attended Widener University and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton where he studied business management.
