Rezidor Announces Resort in Cannes
Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel & Thalasso to Open December 2010
December 1, 2010 - The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, announces Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel & Thalasso, Cannes. The 134-room hotel, formerly known as 1835 White Palm Hotel, will open in December 2010.

Rezidor currently operates city hotels in Nice and Marseille, and this opening brings the total portfolio of hotels in operation and under development in France to 28 properties.

Nathalie recently received the French Medaille d'Argent du Tourisme, the silver medal of tourism, and was awarded manager of the year 2010 by French group Nice-Matin.
Situated in the picturesque old quarter of Le Suquet and overlooking the harbor, Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel & Thalasso is within walking distance of Palais des Festivals et Congres, the legendary building that hosts the annual Cannes Film Festival. Just a short stroll from the hotel is La Croisette, Cannes' famous main avenue renowned for its luxurious boutiques, trendy bars, restaurants and palm-fringed sidewalks. Cannes' three casinos, Le Palm Beach, Le Croisette Casino Barrière de Cannes and Casino Les Princes, are also easily accessible from the hotel.
Originally designed by French interior specialists Marc Hertrich & Nicolas Adnet, the property underwent an extensive renovation in 2009. In addition to 134 guest rooms with signature Radisson Blu amenities such as complimentary high-speed internet access, the hotel will offer six meeting rooms, three restaurants and a rooftop bar. Le 360 is situated on the roof terrace and offers dining with 360 degree views of the city. Le Bio specializes in healthy dishes and is located within the spa; while 30° Celsius serves lighter fare on the ground floor.
Resort facilities include the Thalasso spa, Les Thermes Marins de Cannes. The 8,850-square-foot facility has an ultra-modern design and offers 46 treatment rooms, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hammam, sauna, Roman bath and whirlpools.
The Cannes property marks the latest in Rezidor's demonstrated resort development pipeline and growing Radisson Blu resort portfolio. Recent openings include new Radisson Blu resorts in Split and Dubrovnok, Croatia; Cesme, Turkey; and Calzignano Terme, Italy. Upcoming resort developments are slated for Gran Canaria, Spain and Porticcio, Corsica.
