Hilton Garden Inn Cape Canaveral Opens on Florida’s Space Coast
Hilton Garden Inn Cape Canaveral near Cocoa Beach celebrated its official opening during a ribbon cutting ceremony with community business leaders and elected officials. Hilton Garden Inn is the globally recognized brand of hotels within the Hilton portfolio that's long synonymous with providing business and leisure travelers with reliable accommodations and modern amenities.
The six-story hotel offers 156 spacious guestrooms and suites along with 1,100 square feet of flexible meeting space. Guests can enjoy a 24/7 fitness center, a grab-and-go market, and a variety of social spaces including a game room, outdoor tiki bar, game lawn, and expansive pool deck. Local artwork was curated for the hotel and is displayed throughout, including two murals by Christopher Maslow.
The hotel is also home to J. Bird's Island Eatery, an independently branded tiki bar and restaurant led by Executive Chef Dustin Jones. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, J. Bird's serves rum-forward cocktails and coastal-inspired American fare and family-friendly programming in a laid-back atmosphere. A private dining room is also available for events.
"We're proud to bring the Hilton Garden Inn brand to Cape Canaveral and to play a role in supporting the region's incredible growth," said J.B. McKibbon, president of McKibbon Equities. "With its proximity to Port Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center, this property was thoughtfully designed to welcome cruise passengers and families, as well as business travelers to Florida's Space Coast. We look forward to providing a warm, memorable experience for every guest who walks through our doors."
Just minutes from Port Canaveral—the fastest-growing cruise port in the U.S.—the property was designed with cruisegoers and families in mind. Guests can also experience front-row views of rocket launches from nearby SpaceX and Kennedy Space Center, with space-inspired design details and local artwork throughout the hotel paying tribute to Cape Canaveral's history of innovation and exploration.
Hilton Garden Inn Cape Canaveral is owned by McKibbon Equities. The hotel's development was managed by McKibbon Places, with Base4 as architect and Certified General Contractors serving as general contractor.
