Schaumburg, IL - January 6, 2011 - Sperry Van Ness, one of the nation's largest commercial real estate brokerage firms, has completed the sale of a 108-room Homewood Suites to Des Plaines, IL-based AAA Hospitality, LLC, for $5 million. The property is located in Schaumburg, IL, a northwest suburb of Chicago. The Homewood Suites is approximately 30 miles from downtown Chicago and approximately 13 miles to O'Hare International Airport. Homewood Suites is the select service/extended stay brand of Hilton Hotels.
Thomas M. Hamm of Sperry Van Ness in Stamford, CT and National Director - Hospitality, represented the sellers, RT Schaumburg, a Delaware Limited Liability Company.
The property was built in 1990 and renovated in 2006. The buyer intends to invest approximately $1.5 million in further modernization.
