RIU to Open an All Inclusive Resort, Riu Touareg

Its Fifth in Cape Verde and Third on the Island of Boa Vista

Palma de Mallorca - January 26, 2011 - Riu Hotels & Resorts will open on May 6th 2011 a beautiful 24 hours All Inclusive beachfront property located on the paradise island of Boavista. The Riu Touareg will be the 5th hotel in Cape Verde, as the Spanish hotel chain already operates two resorts on the Island of Sal and two in Boavista. For the first time, RIU will present a new concept in this hotel with three separate areas which will meet the requirements and preferences of all types of guests: “Adults Only”, “Family & Children” and “Classic”.

In the “Adults Only” area, guests will be able to enjoy several amenities including a restaurant and a swimming pool exclusive for them. The “Family Zone” will feature exclusive pools and plenty of playground areas with different activities during the day. Finally, the “Classic” area will offer the renowned traditional RIU service which has made Riu famous.

The Family Zone at the new hotel Riu Touareg is equipped with family rooms, ideal to accommodate families of two adults and up to three children. The hotel offers for the little ones two children´s swimming pool with playgrounds and the RiuLand club which offers activities for children of all ages.

The “Adults Only” zone consists of 185 double rooms and 16 suites that occupy the most exclusive area of the new resort. Guests can enjoy the gourmet a la carte restaurant "Imuhagh", a pool area, sun terrace and a swimup bar as well as a bar which offers snacks and refreshments during the day and at night, a selection of cocktails perfect for a snack or drink after dinner. These rooms, besides having the best ocean view rooms, offer a liquor dispenser and mini-bar which is refilled daily.

Customers will be able to enjoy the wide gastronomic offer that the Riu Touareg provides in its restaurants. The restaurant "Santo Antao”, which offers international cuisine buffet for breakfast and dinner, the restaurant" Boavista " which offers typical Cape Verdean food, the Asian restaurant “Kabuki”, the barbeque restaurant "Berber" and the gourmet restaurant "Imuhagh", which will be exclusive for guests of the “Adults Only” zone. The hotel has a total of four bars and a nightclub named Pacha where guests can dance the night away.

In addition to a stunning white sand beach ideal for relaxing in the sun or enjoying all kinds of sports such as windsurfing, kayaking or snorkeling, the hotel offers a pool of over 1,000 square meters with integrated whirlpool and swim up bar, and three salt water pools. To these are added the two children's pools and the pool which is located situated in the “Adults Only” zone.

The Riu Touareg will provide activities for all ages. Besides the water sports offered by Scuba Caribe, the hotel will have tennis courts, beach volleyball, table tennis, a hobby club and gym.
