Elegant New Bar, mamoz, Opens in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay
GETTYS Hospitality Design Firm Completes Design for Repeat Client, Heichinrou Group
CHICAGO, March 18, 2011 − GETTYS, a leading global hospitality design, procurement, branding and development firm, completed the design for mamoz , the newest bar in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay.
mamoz opened its doors March 2 and the sophisticated bar spans 5,000 sq. feet across the two top floors of the new building Cubus, located at 1 Hoi Ping Road. mamoz boasts suburb views towards the city and Victoria Harbour with its floor to ceiling windows. GETTYS design encompassed the main bar areas, lift lobbies, washrooms and balcony.
“One of the design highlights is the eight meter long bar made from handcrafted Indonesian timber,” said Ariane Steinbeck, managing director of the GETTYS Hong Kong office. “The overall design, inspired by Barolo wines, mixes various textures and materials, including bronze and leather furnishings with soft upholstery and walls swathed in damask-patterned leather.”
“Our client, Heichinrou Group, was pleased with our design work after we finished the Heichinrou Restaurant in Hong Kong's Times Square,” said Andrew Fay, president and COO of GETTYS. “We were thrilled to work with them again on mamoz , which completes their first bar in Hong Kong.”
