Abdullah Vural Appointed GM of Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch
BEAVER CREEK, CO - April 4, 2011 - Abdullah Vural , a veteran of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company-who joined The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in a dual capacity as Vice President of Operations, Americas, and Interim General Manager in September 2010-has been appointed General Manager and will oversee all strategic operations on behalf of the iconic AAA Five-Diamond mountain resort.

Boasting more than 24 years of globe-spanning experience in the hospitality industry, Vural began his illustrious career with the luxury brand in 2002. Over the course of nine years, he has continued to mark professional achievements within Food and Beverage, Operations, Finance and Sales Departments on the property level, as well offer his savvy to the Americas in a corporate vice president capacity. Vural brings with him an impressive history of impactful engagement with ownership groups, senior management, customers and employees via innovative service strategies and brand initiatives. Further, he has helmed many property openings on behalf of The Ritz-Carlton, including those in Los Angeles and Lake Tahoe, and served as the interim general manager at destination resorts, such as California's Half Moon Bay and Arizona's Dove Mountain.
Born in Istanbul, Vural completed an apprenticeship in Turkey before attending school in Germany-where he was predominantly raised-which ultimately led to opportunities with global giant Marriott International. Fluent in Turkish, German and English, he was propelled and inspired by the international language surrounding epicurean excellence, which quickly became the trajectory for his passion and industry path. He has cultivated a respected reputation for working with notable chefs and restaurateurs to conceptualize successful dining venues, from initial planning and menus to openings and operations.
Relocating to Vail Valley from Virginia with him are his wife Andrea and daughter Leah. When not relishing time cooking for his family or watching spirited soccer matches, Vural is counting down the days to explore the vast riches of Colorado on his Harley-Davidson.
