Lexington Hotel & Conference Center Opens in St. George, UT

. May 20, 2011

CLEVELAND, OH - May 19, 2011 - The majestic red cliffs of Vermillion Cliffs National Monument surround the beautiful Lexington Hotel and Conference Center in St. George, UT. Formerly a Holiday Inn Resort, this 164-room property is finding that, like the red cliffs, the right hotel brand can provide a strong and supportive foundation for a successful business.

With a grand opening planned later this month, the hotel and conference center has already benefited from the freedom and resources the Lexington Collection® of hotels, inns, and suites provides. “Before becoming a Lexington, the number one guest complaint was that there wasn't a free breakfast in the morning. You'd think that would be a pretty easy fix, but our former brand wouldn't allow us to offer complimentary breakfasts. It was against their policy,” said Adelina Zamora, managing partner of the property. “When we switched to Lexington, they told us that we know our market better than anyone and they encouraged us to implement the programs that better serve our guests.”

Additionally, Zamora was looking for better connectivity and revenue support without the restrictive control other franchises can enforce. “Everything is now customized to our property. The resources I had before are still in place, but the iron fist is gone. If I need something, I can pick up the phone and someone is always available to help me.”

“The Lexington in St. George is a wonderful addition to our brand,” said Bill Hanley, group president of the Lexington Collection. “They have an incredible property in the most beautiful location I have ever seen. What they were missing was a supportive brand that understands their need for greater resources and more freedom and, in a nut shell, that's exactly what Lexington offers hotel owners.”

Ideally located near Zion National Park and Snow Canyon State Park, the Lexington Hotel and Conference Center of St. George offers 5,000 square feet of meeting space for up to 500 people, seven breakout rooms, a professional catering staff, and an onsite restaurant, Orchids.

Hanley expects Lexington to add at least 15 properties by the end of the year. The Lexington brands currently include 24 properties either in the system or under development throughout the United States and China. For more information, please visit www.LexingtonCollection.com or call 888-316-2378.
