According to Kristin Spitz, Electronic Sales & Marketing Manager for the Manchester Grand Hyatt, four-legged guests have been well received by staff and guests alike.
“[We've received] all positive feedback because we know our guests love to travel with their pets. Our Pampered Paws program is very popular,” Spitz told i Love Dog-Friendly.
The Manchester Grand Hyatt allows one pet per room. Pets must not exceed 50 pounds and must be licensed and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Pets are not allowed in the restaurants, bars, lounges, health club or spa. However, they can join their pet parents on the patios. Pets should be leashed when wandering around, and guests are responsible for any damage their pet causes.
The Manchester Grand Hyatt hosts a 'Yappy' Hour every Thursday from 5-7 p.m. for guests and their four-legged friends at Sally's Seafood on the Water. Specials include 50 percent off all appetizers, $3 draft beers and $5 well cocktails and wine. Four-legged guests will receive complimentary treats.
Spitz said, “Yappy Hour at Sally's is a favorite for locals and hotel guests alike. It's a great social time for guests to relax on our bayfront patio and enjoy food and drink specials while their dogs socialize and enjoy their doggie-treats.”
Spitz recommends pet parents bring their pet's health certificates with them, and to call the concierge desk and let them know you are traveling with your pet. They will be happy to suggest nearby activities and parks that are pet-friendly around the hotel.
