Chesapeake Adds Three New Members to Growing Executive Team
September 8, 2011 - Chesapeake Hospitality, one of the country's fastest growing third-party hotel management companies, today announced that it has added Jack Warner , Julia Scheffsky and Kirsty Cann to its growing professional team. Kim Sims, president of Chesapeake Hospitality, made the announcement.
Warner will serve as general manager of the Holiday Inn in Columbia, Maryland. Chesapeake Hospitality assumed management of the property in July. He has 13 years experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Chesapeake Hospitality, he was general manager with GF Hotels, Inc., where he managed a variety of the company's properties. Warner is a graduate of Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Scheffsky will fill the role of general manager of the Holiday Inn in Laurel, Maryland, a property that Chesapeake Hospitality has been managing since 2004. She comes to Chesapeake Hospitality from Sunburst Hospitality, where she was corporate director of sales and marketing. Scheffsky also spent four years as general manager of the company's South Forest Beach property. She graduated from Columbia College, where she earned a Bachelor's Studies degree in Marketing.
Cann will work in Chesapeake Hospitality's corporate office, where she will be assistant corporate controller. Prior to joining Chesapeake Hospitality, Cann was controller at Michelangelo Hotel in New York, full service luxury hotel with 208 rooms and condominiums.
