Benchmark Hospitality Names Executive Chef at Eaglewood Resort
HOUSTON, TX, Febrary 12, 2007. "Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Dwayne Jordan as executive chef at Eaglewood Resort, located in Itasca, Illinois, near Chicago. Greg Parsons, general manager for the resort, made the announcement.
"Dwayne is an award-winning chef whose passion for the culinary arts is unsurpassed," said Mr. Parsons. "We are thrilled he has joined our team and expect that he will set a new standard of culinary excellence at the resort."
Chef Jordan brings 15 years of culinary experience to his new position at Eaglewood Resort. He previously served as executive chef at Treesdale Country Club of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. He has also served in the same role for the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel and Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama.
In addition to his culinary talents, Jordan comes to Eaglewood with vast experience in the operation of prestigious and large scale banquet programs. He was honored by being selected as chef for a special event recognizing President George W. Bush in Birmingham, Alabama.
Jordon has also served as chef for Universal Studios in California and for the Ontario Convention Center of Ontario, California, following which he was named the "Youngest Accomplished Executive Chef in the Nation" by the San Bernardino Sun News. Additionally, Jordon has served as chef with Starwood and Wyndam properties throughout the United States.
Chef Jordan is the recipient of multiple culinary honors, including "Chef Rotisseur" from the prestigious Confr'erie de la Cha^ine des R^otisseurs, the renowned century-old global gastronomic organization recognizing excellence in the culinary arts. In 1998, Chef Jordan was selected as the Super Bowl XXXII food services quality assurance manager. He was also named by Chef's 2000 as 'One of North America's Most Outstanding Chefs.' He resides in Itasca, Illinois.
