o Fasnacht celebration to chase away winter: Feb. 17, Helvetia. Enjoy a Swiss ritual the first settlers brought with them to Helvetia in 1869. This wild and interesting holiday has been celebrated each year since the settlers' first winter in Helvetia. Events include a lampion (candlelight) parade, masked ball and open mic at Star Band Hall. A buffet is offered 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hutte Restaurant. o 34th Annual Antiques Show and Sale: Feb. 23 - 25, Morgantown. Monongalia Arts Center hosts an antique show and appraisal opportunity. Hours are 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday and noon until 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6. Antique and collectible appraisals on Saturday 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and jewelry appraisals on Sunday 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Cost is $15 for a written appraisal and $7 for a verbal appraisal.
