IHG Announces First Hotel Indigo in Northeast

Hotel Indigo in Rahway, NJ, to Offer Visitors Convenient Access to New York City

MARCH 6, 2007. IHG announced plans for the brand's first property in the Northeast, located in Rahway, N.J. The 102-room hotel, owned by Silcon Group, will be managed by InterContinental Hotels Group Americas operations division, The Hotel Management Group, under a long term management contract, made effective on January 4, 2007.

Located at the corner of Milton Avenue and Irving Street the 72,000 sq.-ft. hotel is part of the Skyview at Carriage City Plaza project and is scheduled to open in April 2008. The new hotel will be part of a mixed use luxury condominium and retail development, which will provide future guests with convenient access to a variety of unique high-end retail shops and fine dining restaurants within this vibrant downtown complex. Hotel Indigo at Skyview guests will be about 30 minutes non-stop direct to New York City and 12 minutes to Newark Airport via New Jersey Transit. The property is located directly across the street from the Rahway Train Station which is being renamed Carriage City Plaza in honor of the project.

Providing stylish accommodations and a personalized service experience in a unique and intimate atmosphere, Hotel Indigo at Skyview will be a branded boutique hotel designed to appeal to lifestyle-focused guests who desire affordable luxury, genuine service and an alternative to traditional hotels.

Renewal is the soul of Hotel Indigo's retail-inspired design concept - thoughtful changes are made throughout the year to keep the hotel fresh, similar to the way retailers change their window displays. The renewal concept provides even the most frequent guest a unique experience with every stay. Hotel Indigo's guestrooms feature signature murals, area rugs, and duvets and slip covers that will change periodically, while public spaces will be transformed seasonally through changing artwork, murals and directional signage.

Hotel Indigo at Skyview will offer free high-speed internet access in all guestrooms, wireless in all public areas and a full-service business center. In addition, seven meeting rooms are available, offering a total of 4,000 sq. ft of meeting space. Adding to the hotel's convenience -- Hotel Indigo at Skyview will offer guests concierge service, a full fitness center and day spa.

Whether guests desire a quick bite before a meeting or a full meal after a day of sightseeing, Hotel Indigo at Skyview offers guests exactly what they need. The Golden Bean, a gourmet fast casual restaurant refreshingly offers the unique Hotel Indigo approach to breakfast serving traditional morning favorites and Starbucks Coffee in a relaxed environment. The Hotel Indigo brand is rapidly expanding, with eight locations open and more than 40 in the pipeline.
