Steigenberger to Open Three Hotels in China
November 8, 2013 - The Frankfurt-based company is continuing the successful pursuit of its expansion plans in China and has announced the opening of three further hotels by 2016
.

The 5-star In-Resort-Hotel Steigenberger Resort & Spa Haitang Bay in Sanya, which will open its doors in January 2015, islocated directly on the famous Haitang Bay, a sandy beach that stretches over a distance of approximately 43 kilometres. Its exclusive resort facilities will include 102 luxury rooms and suites, a Chinese restaurant, the Cafe Berlin, a lounge and bar and a generously proportioned health and beauty spa area.
The launch of the Steigenberger Hotel Shaohai in Qingdao, a city that still bears the traces of the German colonial period before the First World war, is scheduled for the winter of 2015/2016. The hotel, which will provide 280 rooms and suites, an excellently equipped conference area and a spa and gym facility with its own pool, is set to appeal to business and leisure travellers alike. Three restaurants - a Chinese restaurant, the "Thomas Brauhaus" and the Cafe Max - bring German and Chinese culture together and will cater to the needs of every single guest.
The 5-star Steigenberger Hotel Yubei will open in Chongqing, the largest city in China, in 2016. Its 300 rooms and suites will make it the biggest Steigenberger Hotel in China thus far. Plenty of culinary diversity will be on offer in the form of two Chinese restaurants, the Cafe Berlin, the Paulaner Brauhaus, a deli, a Lobby Lounge and a bar. The hotel's conference facilities, which extend over an area of 2000 m2 and include a Ballroom, are capable of being put to highly flexible use. The new Steigenberger Hotel Yubei will also boast a health and beauty spa centre.
The Hotel Maximilian managed by Steigenberger in Beijing will become the first Steigenberger establishment to open its doors when it launches on 1 December 2013. The Maximilian is a 5-star hotel located on the site of the AUDI World in the North of the City and will offer approximately 286 rooms as well as a 1300 m2 conference area.
