. August 14, 2015

In an effort to help hospitality industry staff take a deserving break and drive bookings to local hotels, the Greater Miami & The Beaches Hotel Association (GMBHA) & the South Florida Hospitality Human Resources Association (SflaHHRA) introduce the 2015 Summer Wellness Program Initiative for Hospitality Employees.
Available now through September 30th, hotel, restaurant and recreation employees as well as businesses servicing the hospitality industry will receive a discounted hotel rate (varied rates according to participating hotels - black-out dates apply) and other services at participating hotels in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Doral, Downtown Miami and Miami Beach. “We are here to support Miami's hospitality industry and what a better way than to encourage employees to take some much-needed rest and relaxation before the busy season while at the same time drive additional bookings to our hotels during slower months,” said Wendy Kallergis, President & CEO, GMBHA.

According to U.S. Travel Association's website, Project: Time Off reports that huge majorities of American workers believe that time off helps them relax and recharge, and offers the opportunity to do what they enjoy. Nearly two-thirds say their concentration and productivity at work improve with taking time off and 61 percent report greater satisfaction at work after taking vacation time.
