Grupo Hotusa Acquires Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra Hotel & Spa, Converts it to Eurostars Hotels

The 182-key hotel rebrands as Eurostars Suites Mirasierra 5*

Barcelona - December 14, 2015 - Grupo Hotusa has bought the Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra Hotel & Spa, which now becomes part of the Eurostars Hotels chain and will be run under the name of Eurostars Suites Mirasierra 5*. The transaction is part of the group's continued growth strategy for its hotel division, which it has followed since its formation in 1994.

The Chairman of Grupo Hotusa, Amancio López Seijas, says "we are committed to the organic growth of our portfolio based on the incorporation of establishments which, applying our business model, we believe that we can enhance even further." López Seijas also says "we are open to all kinds of approaches, from acquisitions - as in the case of the Eurostars Suites Mirasierra 5* - to management and we select the one we believe is most appropriate for each project".

The Chairman of the tourist group highlights that "the Eurostars Suites Mirasierra 5*, a first class establishment in Madrid, strengthens and completes the presence of Eurostars Hotels in this destination." The Eurostars Suites Mirasierra 5* is the eighth hotel owned by the chain in Madrid, where it already has the Eurostars Madrid Tower 5*, the Eurostars Monte Real 4* the Eurostars Plaza Mayor 4*, the Eurostars Zarzuela Park 4*, the Eurostars Gran Madrid 4* (Alcobendas), the Eurostars Arenas De Pinto 4* (Pinto) and the Eurostars I-Hotel 4* (Pozuelo de Alarcon). With this addition, the hotel division of the company chaired by Amancio López Seijas now runs a total of 18 hotels in the Community of Madrid, seven of which are under the umbrella of its other chain, Exe Hotels.

The Eurostars Suites Mirasierra 5* has 182 rooms and suites of a minimum of 60 square metres each, most of them with views of the mountains surrounding Madrid. The hotel is one of the main establishments for organising events in the Spanish capital with a total of 17 1,800 square metre separate rooms with natural light, which can host events for up to 850 attendees.

In addition, the Eurostars Mirasierra Suites 5* offers an exclusive restaurant with a terrace and several bars, an outdoor pool and a spa with a large pool area, gym and wellness and beauty treatment services, which has become one of the main wellness spaces in Madrid.
