SALA Samui Joins the Green Leaf Program
SURAT THANI, TH. January 20, 2016 - SALA Hospitality Group is pleased to announce that SALA Samui Resort and Spa has recently joined the Green Leaf Program.
The Green Leaf Foundation has a long history, starting in 1991 to work together with hoteliers to minimize waste and increase resource efficiency in hotels, and is since 1998 certifying Thai hotels from an environmental perspective.
The Green Leaf Program for hotels under the Green Leaf Foundation is the first step in the development of environmental quality for the tourism industry. The program takes in to account all aspects of sustainability; environmental, social and economic, and many of the criteria and standards of the Green Leaf Foundation's certification program are designed to work in parallel with the government health & safety regulations.
SALA Samui Resort and Spa is consistent about sustainability principles and actively reduces the adverse environmental impacts of its own activity. We encourage you to assist us in this effort.
SALA Samui is also taking action to reduce energy & water consumption and to minimize waste generation. Hotel environmental actions are supported by a training program for all employees.
