Bruce Willis Launches Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV, April 19, 2007. Superstar Bruce Willis joined friend Robert Earl, co-chairman of Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, for a champagne toast and then proceeded to flip the switch that turned on the lighted sign on the top of Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
In an evening ceremony on the pool deck of the resort Willis turned on the illuminated sign sitting on the top of the resort announcing that Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is officially on the Las Vegas Strip. Willis also revealed that there will be a weekend long party for the Grand Opening of the Resort on September 28 and 29.
In a press conference held earlier in the day, plans were revealed for all of the new restaurants, clubs, strategic partnerships and many other amenities that have already opened or will be open by the time the resort celebrates its official grand opening in September. Joining Earl and Willis for the press conference were sports superstars Roger Clemens, "Sugar" Ray Leonard and Pete Sampras and entertainer Carmen Electra who is about to open in a show at the resort called The Beauty of Magic starring magician Hans Klok.
