TravelCLICK Honored with ITA's CityLIGHTS Award
APRIL 23, 2007. The Illinois Information Technology Association (ITA) has honored TravelCLICK with its CityLIGHTS CEO of the Year Award. CityLIGHTS celebrates the fast-growing technology community in Illinois and honors the state's outstanding information technology companies and executives.
Robert Post received the CEO of the Year Award in acknowledgement of TravelCLICK's unprecedented growth and impact in the travel marketplace. From 2004 to 2006, through both organic growth and acquisitions, the company's revenues more than doubled, from $53 million to more than $112 million. This strong financial performance, combined with aggressive customer support and an intelligent acquisition and partnering strategy, has positioned TravelCLICK as an industry leader and regionally recognized fast-growth company.
"I am very proud that TravelCLICK has been recognized for its extraordinary success," said Post. "In the increasingly dynamic environment of online marketing, our approach to helping hotels electronically merchandise their properties has been eagerly adopted by owners and management companies alike. They value the knowledge of our people and the quality of our service, realizing that we not only help hotels fill rooms profitably, we help build sustained value in their investments. It's an honor to lead such a motivated and customer-driven team."
Focused on building and developing the Illinois technology community through collaboration, ITA celebrates key thought-leaders who raise visibility and gain greater market awareness for the region's most successful technology companies. ITA presented the award April 12 at the CityLIGHTS Awards Gala at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, attended by more than 500 technology executives from across the state.
