Wyndham Appoints Business Development Exec

JANUARY 31, 2008. Wyndham Hotel Group today announced the appointment of Jeff Farina as vice president of business development for the Wyndham(R) brand.

Farina, who reports to Jeff Dallas, Wyndham Hotel Group senior vice president of development, will be responsible for expanding the company's relationships with multiunit, full-service asset owners including real estate investment trusts, private equity investors, lenders, developers and financial institutions with hospitality portfolios.

Farina formerly was chief development officer for Benchmark Hospitality Inc., a hotel and hospitality company based in The Woodlands, Texas, where he was responsible for the development of management contracts and coordination of business development efforts.

From 1984 to 1997, Farina served in sales and marketing positions for the AT&T Learning Center, Basking Ridge, N.J.;, Doubletree Guest Suites, New York; Tension Envelope Corp., Westchester, N.Y.; Tarrytown Executive Conference Center, Tarrytown, N.Y.; Northland Inn & Executive Conference Center, Minneapolis; Hudson River Inn & Conference Center, Westchester; Las Colinas Inn & Conference Center, Dallas; and Conference Environments Corporation, New York. He began his career in 1984 as a sales representative with Harrison Conference Centers, Tarrytown.

Farina received his bachelor's degree in 1983 and master of business administration degree in 2002 from Iona College, New Rochelle, NY.
