LAAMU, MV. November 1, 2016 - Six Senses Laamu is the perfect destination for everyone seeking an out of the ordinary tropical holiday escape. Special celebrations and experiences for guests of all ages are planned between December 23, 2016 and January 3, 2017. A sampling of the festive highlights are included below:

Wellness

Experts at Six Senses Spa Laamu recommend kick starting the day with sunrise or laughing yoga and enjoying the special family and couples packages available over the season. Dr. Jitendra invites guests to discover the Six Senses Integrated Wellness programs. A variety of classes and workshops have been added to the extensive range of signature treatments.

Six Senses Spa is also delighted to have Dr. Gopal at the resort, a naturopathic doctor and yoga expert from India, who specializes in Ayurveda and Wellness.

Culinary Chef Martin and his team will be taking guests on various culinary journeys for this season from a special steak house featured in LEAF restaurant to a spice festival, where curries and spices from all over Asia complement the perfect sunset beach dining setup. For those seeking a more refined experience, wine and chocolate pairings, sparkling wine discovery and special sunset aperitif sessions will be available.

Family For the little VIPs, a variety of creative, educational and sports activities are organized for children of all ages, along with a pirate snorkeling adventure. Many island adventures are also planned such as treasure hunts, a night exploration and a flashlight scavenger hunt.

Music

DJ Cayetano will be on the decks of Chill Bar this season, creating magical sunset moments every evening. Des Mitchell will be spinning his tunes at Chill Bar on Christmas Eve and hosting the New Year's celebration on the beach on December 31, inviting everyone to dance the old year away and to welcome a prosperous new year.

Experiences For those seeking to explore more of what the Maldives have to offer, there are plenty of off-island excursion options available. Whether this be hopping on a boat to experience life on a nearby local island or being the only ones on a deserted island for a day, the boat captains will whisk guests to their chosen destination. It is a great time for families to get together and spend some quality time.

Guests don't have to always stay on land. The underwater world on the surrounding reefs can be discovered during snorkeling and diving excursions. Guests can experience a variety of water sports and will be also challenged in water-polo and volleyball games by the resort's hosts. At Six Senses Laamu the clear and starry skies away from the city lights are truly spectacular. Guests who are fascinated by the universe with its stars, planets, comets and moon can join Astronomer Dr. Parag for stargazing sessions on sunset beach in the evenings.
