JANUARY 25, 2008. Addressing club- and hotel-specific topics, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals' (HFTP(R)) popular Club and Hotel Controllers Conferences will update financial professionals on the industry's hottest issues. The conference, which is held twice annually, features identical education programs and will offer networking opportunities so attendees can discuss current issues with fellow colleagues.

'The Club and Hotel Controllers Conference proves to be a valuable setting to reveal current industry hot topics,' said Cheryl Brennan, CHAE, controller with Bloomfield Hills Country Club, co-chair of the HFTP Education Advisory Council and 2007 attendee. Attending the March conference will not only provide great industry education opportunities, but also gives attendees a chance to expand their HFTP education by attending the first HFTP Regional Leadership Seminar. The seminar will focus on leadership skills necessary for successful chapter management, as well as provide a forum to discuss new ideas and innovations. It will immediately follow the conference on March 18 from 1-5 p.m. at the Westin San Diego and is free to any current HFTP member. To register for the seminar, visit the HFTP web site. The June conference will be co-located with HITEC (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference), the largest hospitality technology conference and exposition. Attending the June Club and Hotel Controllers Conference will give attendees the added opportunity to visit the HITEC exhibit hall. In addition to the expected 300+ companies exhibiting, the 2008 exhibit hall will feature the Club Technology Pavilion, with hands-on displays of the latest in club technology, and the 2008 version of GUESTROOM 2010, a model hotel room showcasing the most current and near-future technology.
