MGM MIRAGE Appoints EVP of Global Development
Michael Evans
LAS VEGAS, NV, January 22, 2008. MGM MIRAGE Hospitality, a wholly owned subsidiary of MGM MIRAGE (NYSE:MGM), today announced the appointment of Michael Evans as Executive Vice President of Global Development.
MGM MIRAGE Hospitality (MMH), formed in May 2007, is principally focused on extending the company's renowned hotel brands and developing new luxury hotel brand concepts for destinations in the U.S. and abroad. The company recently announced an agreement to develop MGM Grand Abu Dhabi and is in discussions for several additional development opportunities around the world.

In his role, Mr. Evans will be responsible for the implementation of MMH's strategic development plan and leading MMH's regional development teams. He will identify and pursue opportunities on a global basis to establish, through the execution of management contracts and the formation of strategic joint ventures, world-class hotels that will showcase and promote the company's luxury brands.
Mr. Evans is a seasoned executive with global development experience in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of International Hotel Development for Marriott International, Inc., based in London, where he was responsible for the development of all of Marriott International's hotel brands in parts of Europe and all of the Middle East. Prior to this position, he served as Vice President of Hotel Development Asia/Pacific, based in Hong Kong, and Vice President of Global Asset Management, based in Washington, D.C., for Marriott International. Prior to joining Marriott International in 1998, Mr. Evans was an attorney in private practice in Miami, Florida.
Mr. Evans received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from the University of Miami School of Law and his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
