WTM Appointing Its First In-house PR Team

JANUARY 21, 2008. The new World Travel Market (WTM) team have taken over the press and PR responsibilities from Jane Larcombe Communications, who held the tenure consecutively throughout the past 17 years. Nonetheless, WTM are delighted to affirm that Jane Larcombe Communications will remain on-board on a consultancy basis and will be handling all of the PR initiatives for WTM World Responsible Tourism Day (WTM WRTD).

The in-house team includes PR Manager, Arleigh Galant Vasconcellos and PR Assistant, Katy Kenyon. Arleigh joins the team with over nine years of experience working as a freelance PR and Communications consultant in both the events, and travel and tourism industries. Graduating from the University of Ottawa, Canada with a*censored*laude honours degree in Business Communications, Arleigh most recently worked as a freelance consultant leading the PR team at Virgin Holidays.

Katy joins the team from an agency background where she worked on a variety of International Boat Shows and events. She holds a first class honours degree in Media Production with Marketing from Glamorgan University.

Commenting on her new role, Arleigh Galant Vasconcellos says "I am very excited to be working for Reed Travel Exhibitions on WTM, the world's most important annual international travel and tourism event, continuing to build on the impressive legacy handed down by Jane Larcombe and her team, and look forward to this year's programme."
