R.D. Olson Construction Completes $120 Million Irvine Spectrum Marriott
Opening Marks Irvine's First New Full-Service Hotel in 10 Years
R.D. Olson Construction, an award-winning general contracting firm in California, is proud to announce the completion of the $120 million Irvine Spectrum Marriott hotel, located in the heart of Orange County. The first new full-service hotel in the city in 10 years, the Irvine Spectrum Marriott was designed with the Millennial traveler in mind and offers guests and local businesses extensive amenities, state-of-the-art technology and ample space for meetings and events.
Located at 7905 Irvine Center Drive, the Irvine Spectrum Marriott is a 15-story, 210,000 -square-foot hotel. It features 271 rooms equipped with the latest technology and a mix of lodging options, from premium and executive suites equipped with full kitchens to guest rooms with king and double queen bed configurations.
“In partnership with Spectrum Gateway Hotels, LLC and WATG, our team is honored to bring Irvine its first full-service hotel in the last decade,” said Bill Wilhelm, president of R.D. Olson Construction. “The property features thoughtful amenities, a mix of room layouts and Marriot's new Millennial-focused design that caters to business and leisure guests, as well as group travelers visiting the surrounding area.”
The Irvine Spectrum Marriott offers over 9,000 square feet of indoor meeting facilities in up to seven room configurations and a large event lawn to accommodate corporate events, parties and weddings. It has one of the highest and largest rooftop lounges in Orange County with a full-service bar and sweeping 360-degree views.
Public area amenities include an outdoor pool, whirlpool and spa complete with outdoor fire pits and fireplaces, as well as a two-story, 24-hour fitness center featuring CrossFit-style equipment. Additional amenities include Marriott's private lounge, the M Club, exclusively for Marriott Elite members.
With a new inventive design aesthetic, the Irvine Spectrum Marriott features a full-service, produce-forward community restaurant, the Heirloom Farmhouse Kitchen. The interior design is a nod to the rich history of the iconic Irvine Ranch, as seen in the restaurant's design elements and menu selections.
The Irvine Spectrum Marriott is situated near Orange County's most popular shopping, dining, transportation and event offerings, including Irvine Spectrum Center; Orange County Great Park; University of California, Irvine; Segerstrom Center for the Arts; Disneyland Park; John Wayne Airport and more.
Irvine Spectrum Marriott was designed by the renowned international architecture firm WATG, specialists in hospitality design. Interior architecture for the hotel was completed by Monogram, and interior architecture and design for the hotel's on-site restaurant and rooftop terrace was driven by Steven Langford Architects.
In addition to the Irvine Spectrum Marriott, R.D. Olson Construction recently completed H Hotel, a 12-story, 260,000-square-foot dual brand hotel adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport. Additionally, the R.D. Olson Construction team is nearing completion on Lido House Hotel, a 130-room, upscale boutique hotel in Newport Beach located next to Lido Marina Village at the gateway to the Balboa Peninsula.
