Songy Highroads 'Tops Out' Hyatt House Hotel in Nashville, TN
New 201-Room Hotel in West End on Schedule to Open in Early 2019
Atlanta-based developer Songy Highroads, LLC ("SHR"), in partnership with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, has reached a pinnacle in the construction of Hyatt House Nashville. The 201-key extended stay hotel located in the city's West End district has structurally topped out.
Rising 15 stories above Hayes Street at 21st Avenue, the Hyatt House is seated in the epicenter of Nashville's major academic and healthcare institutions - one block from Vanderbilt University, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital and TriStar Centennial Medical Center.
"Completing vertical construction marks a key milestone in the development of our first Nashville hotel," said Todd Nocerini, COO of SHR. "We're enthusiastic to complete the project and begin offering guests Midtown's rich and various amenities all within arm's reach - from music and nightlife to education and medical services."
SHR sought out Wakefield Beasley & Associates to design the Hyatt House Nashville, and Reeves Young serves as the general contractor for the new-build.
"With construction progressing on schedule, the hotel should be completed in early 2019, as planned," said Eric Young, President and CEO of Reeves Young. "We're working hand-in-hand with SHR's Hyatt team to ensure a seamless delivery of the new hotel."
SHR has become a trusted partner of the Hyatt brand for developing upscale, urban hotels throughout the Southeast. In the past three years, it has built a Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Place hotel adjacent to Houston's Galleria shopping center and converted a downtown Washington, D.C., office building into a Hyatt Place hotel. SHR also recently completed the Hyatt Regency Fairfax hotel conversion and renovation in Fairfax, Va., and construction is now underway for the Hyatt Place Centennial Park adjacent to the Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta.
