Driftwood Hospitality Management Assumes Management of Six Marriott Hotels Across Atlanta Metropolitan Area

USA, West Palm Beach, Florida. December 10, 2018

Driftwood Hospitality Management (DHM), a North Palm Beach-based hotel management company, has assumed operations of a six-property, Marriott-branded select-service portfolio spanning various neighborhoods across the Atlanta metropolitan area. Three of the hotels were acquired by DHM's sister company, Driftwood Acquisitions and Development (DAD), while the remaining three were acquired via another company partner.

“This has been a banner year for Driftwood across the board and we are pleased to continue growing with DAD, along with other partners,” said David Buddemeyer, president of DHM. “These particular hotels are well-positioned assets in major pockets of Atlanta, which is doing quite well, so they are wonderful additions to our diverse management portfolio.”

Three of the Atlanta hotels now managed by DHM are located in Alpharetta, one of Atlanta's hottest up-and-coming neighborhoods. Known as the “Technology City of the South,” Alpharetta is the premier destination for corporate headquarters, technology services, and retail trade firms. With more than 640 tech-centric companies in the city, including Infor, Fortna, Phillips, Ryder, UPS and Siemens, Alpharetta continues to lead the Metro Atlanta area as the single leading destination for information technology services. Travelers can also venture into historic downtown Alpharetta and discover art galleries, antique stores and specialty shops in the tiny village of Crabapple or indulge in a shopper's paradise at the newly opened Avalon district which features over 75 retailers, 15 specialty restaurants and a Regal Cinema.

Driftwood's Alpharetta properties include the 88-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Alpharetta, the 82-room SpringHill Suites Atlanta Alpharetta and the 88-room TownePlace Suites Atlanta Alpharetta. In addition, the company is now managing:
