Anchor Collection is now representing one of the UK's most prestigious and bespoke hotel groups, Iconic Luxury Hotels, announced Cherryl Brazier, president and founder of the hotel, destination and venue representation company. "Iconic Luxury Hotels comprises four historic and atmospheric properties located in legendary settings that offer an extraordinary range of meeting, incentive and event sites and immersive experiences," explained Brazier. The four Iconic Luxury Hotels are Cliveden House & Spa, in Taplow, Berkshire, England; The Lygon Arms in Broadway, Worcestershire, England; Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa, in the New Forest, Hampshire, England; and 11 Cadogan Gardens, in Chelsea, London.

Cliveden House & Spa: The 350-year-old stately manor is literally fit for a princess, having hosted royal guests for centuries. Located along one of the storied stretches of the Thames River, it features an array of boating and cruising experiences on vintage launches, extravagant themed events and close proximity to such seminal destinations as Eton and Windsor Castle.

The Lygon Arms: Known as the "Jewel of the Cotswolds," this 14th-century Coaching Inn with luxurious accommodations offers groups everything from team-building activities in a three-acre secret garden to treasure hunts, clay shooting and bicycle safaris, to riding a vintage railway, a day at Cheltenham Racecourse and exploring Cotswold villages.

Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa: Dating from the early 18th century, this idyllic retreat is the quintessential English country house offering planners unique group culinary events and extravagant parties, yachting and powerboat themed experiences, and a wide selection of country and sports activities on 130 beautiful acres.

11 Cadogan Gardens: This regal Victorian town house built by Lord Chelsea in the early 19th century offers sublime accommodations, art and cultural activities, and a location steps from many of London's most celebrated attractions including Sloane Square, Knightsbridge, Harrods and Saatchi Gallery.

Architecture & Design: Welcome Home

Hotels are still very concerned about adhering to all required sanitation protocols but as the crisis wanes, they are also being relied upon to provide a space to escape and retreat in comfort. To satisfy this need, many new design trends are emerging. One such trend seeks to cultivate an environment that is comparable to the warmth and coziness  a traveler might have in their home. Lobbies are being reconfigured to resemble a family living room. For example, one leading hotel chain provides an off-lobby common area where four separate video game stations and two video games tables are furnished - all free of charge to play. Another trend is to replace traditional business centers with co-working spaces  where the lines between working and social interaction are often blurred. Finally, recognizing the impact of social media, hotels are designing specific areas to facilitate picture perfect moments (think Instagram). These are just some of the architecture and design subjects that will be covered in the November issue of the Hotel Business Review.
