Doubletree Dallas Campbell Centre Announces Opening of Topgolf Swing Suite Coming This September

Immersive Social Experience Will Be Available to all Guests and Dallas Locals

USA, Dallas, Texas. August 06, 2019

The Doubletree by Hilton Dallas - Campbell Centre announces the opening of the first Topgolf Swing Suite in a hotel for the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Opening in early September, the immersive social experience will include two simulator bays accommodating up to eight guests each. Each bay is equipped with a massive screen and a selection of interactive virtual games including a simulated Topgolf experience, a selection of golf courses, baseball pitching, hockey shots, quarterback challenge and zombie dodgeball.

While the two bays can serve up to 16 guests total, the Swing Suite will boast a common area with lounge and cocktail seating for larger parties up to 36 people.

Guests will be able to enjoy appetizers and small bites from 82fifty Restaurant and Bar's shareable food menu featuring items such as Flatbreads, Epic Beef Nachos, and Trio of Hot Chicken Sliders and an array of Dallas-themed cocktails and other beverages from the 82fifty bar.

Open from 3:00pm to midnight during the week and from 11:00am to midnight on Friday and Saturday, play is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advanced reservations are available for private events including group meetings, birthday parties or other social gatherings.

The last few years have been good to the Hotel Group Meetings industry and that trend is expected to continue into 2019. Planners are brimming with confidence due to an expanding economy and increased job creation, which typically results in a boost in corporate meetings. Given this promising outlook, planners are trying to outdo themselves to satisfy the high expectations of their clients. One notable trend is to integrate unusual settings into the meeting experience, hosting groups at local zoos, aquariums, museums, event centers, or other outdoor facilities. The goal is to embrace uncommon destinations, rather than a typical hotel conference room, so that meetings can be memorable, unique and stimulating. This is also part of another trend which is to support all things local - from hosting events at landmark city venues; to catering through local restaurants, food trucks and microbreweries; to hosting off-site excursions like agri-tours, athletic events or scenic 5k routes. However, though the setting might be spectacular, there are still some bedrock components that must be provided to ensure a successful meeting. Free, high-speed Wi-Fi is still one of the most requested services. Also, technology tools can be used to streamline the booking, registration, and check-in process, and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) materials can be utilized to ensure seamless access to conference events. There are also numerous software tools that encourage audience participation, as well as integrating polls, Q&A, surveys and games into speakers' presentations.
