Eurail Announces New PR Representative in North America
UTRECHT, Netherlands, December 20, 2007. Eurail Group has announced the expansion of its PR activities with the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions (NBTC) as official PR representatives in North America, starting January 2008.
Eurail Group manages the Eurail Pass range, allowing unlimited train travel in Europe for non-European visitors worldwide, the key market being North America with a 54% market share.
NBTC is already a strategic partner for Eurail and represents Eurail for public relations activities in Asia through its wholly owned offices in Japan and China, as well as through its partners in S-Korea and India. In order to create a more global and consistent PR approach worldwide, Eurail has awarded NBTC the contract to represent them in the USA and Canada, as well as expanding activities in Asia.
NBTC's main function will be to increase brand awareness for the Eurail Pass product range and to reinforce the position of Eurail, making it synonymous with rail travel in Europe. Thousands of travelers have already discovered that rail travel is the optimal way to explore Europe, enjoy the diverse scenery and culture and meet the locals, culminating in a unique travel experience. NBTC's task is to increase this perception.
Conrad van Tiggelen, NBTC's Director in North America, is enthusiastic about the increased cooperation between the two companies: "NBTC strongly believes in cooperative projects with European partners and our collaboration with Eurail Group fits perfectly into this strategy. NBTC North America offers a combination of PR activities which gives Eurail Group an excellent coverage in the North American media market. Our entire PR team will represent Eurail Pass through all tools available to American and Canadian media."
The EURAIL Group comprises 27 railways and shipping lines, as well as several bonus partners. For more information about Eurail Group, go to www.EurailGroup.com.
