Best Western Ville-Marie Montreal Chooses MSI

. October 14, 2008

DECEMBER 14, 207. MSI, a leading supplier of hotel technology, announced that the Best Western Ville-Marie has chosen WinPM for its beautiful 3 diamond luxury hotel in Montreal. Following the decision, MSI staff worked to customize the WinPM software to accommodate operational procedures needed for the full service Canadian hotel, adding French\English forms and automation for nested tax rates that vary depending on the type of travel.

The property - which installed MSI's WinPM property management, WinSam sales and catering, and Web Booking Engine systems - has been pleased with MSI since becoming a customer as part of MSI's acquisition of Nova Plus in 2005. "We made the change because we wanted a fully integrated system that included sales and catering," commented Salem Tohme, Operations Manager for the property. "Previously, we had to go from system to system to check on availability; this integration will help us improve guest service. Staying with MSI for our next generation PM product was an easy decision; we've been very pleased with the service we get from MSI. They jumped on our special needs for tax administration and French/English forms-it's the kind of service you don't see every day."

"The French forms were a fun project", stated MSI's Clay Porter-a member of the Product Management group who developed the new enhancements. "The hotel has been great to work with; I just regret we didn't have to travel to the property to complete the requirements!". Clay's wish is understandable: the Best Western property boasts two dining establishments-including the elegant Zawedah Restaurant, serving Lebanese and Continental cuisine in a luxurious setting, and the Caf'e Castel, which features delicious sandwiches, salads, and a gourmet selection of coffees. A full gym, a VIP lounge, and pampering services such as valet parking and concierge, make this property a popular destination.

"This type of full service property can really take advantage of the features offered by the property management/sales and catering integration," said Tim Tiller, MSW, President of MSI. "Working with the property to make changes that help the site with their operational needs is where MSI truly excels."

The WinPM and WinSam systems are integrated systems, sharing a database and offering huge advantages to sites in providing good customer service-extending to their groups and banquets. WinPM's Two-Way interface to Best Western CRS completes the integration package that will be installed at this hotel. The Two-Way interface adds single point-of-entry rates and restrictions updates to Best Western that compliment WinPM's occupancy rate tiering and other yield capabilities. MSI proudly supports over 600 Best Western properties, with 224 sites installed with the Two-Way interface currently, and eight new sites installed each week.
