Greenwood Hospitality Inks Management Deal With Ross Group Development, for the Tulsa Club Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton in Tulsa, Oklahoma

USA, Denver, Colorado. December 09, 2020

Greenwood Hospitality Group, a full-service third party hotel management company, has assumed management of the Tulsa Club Hotel, a member of the Curio Collection by Hilton.

"This property is a testimony to the owner's commitment to preserving the historical integrity of this landmark property, while paying close attention to the hallmarks of personalized service and upgrades todays traveler requires. We are honored to add this unique asset to our portfolio," said Tom Conran, Principal at Greenwood Hospitality Group."

Warren E. Ross, Managing Principal of Ross Group Development added, "Greenwood's experience and achievements operating boutique hotels gave us great confidence that they will be an excellent partner for The Tulsa Club. Our hotel stands out as a unique landmark in Tulsa and celebrates the character and spirit of our city. Greenwood will offer impeccable hospitality and authentic experiences for our guests."

The 96-room, upper-upscale property is listed on the National Trust for Historic preservation in the Oil Capital Historic District. During the Roaring Twenties, the Tulsa Club united with the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce to develop a building both could occupy. Designed in 1927 by architect Bruce Goff, the 11-story structure became an esteemed local landmark due to its Art Deco architecture. The Tulsa Club occupied the top six-floors of the building and over the next seven decades hosted the city's wealthy oil tycoons. The Club closed in 1994 and was abandoned for decades until Ross Group Development began its transformation of the property into a luxurious hotel. Opening in 2019, The Tulsa Club Hotel offers contemporary amenities and proximity to many local Tulsa attractions.

The property includes over 7,000 sq. ft. of social space including the beautiful Tulsa Club Ballroom and the top-floor Skyline Terrace. Additional amenities include The Commerce Lobby Bar and Chamber Restaurant.

Eco-Friendly Practices: Now More Than Ever

One theory about the pandemic states that future viruses are more likely to originate and flourish due to global warming. If true, the urgency to accelerate the adoption of eco-friendly practices is greater than ever. Of course, there are many other reasons to create a sustainable operation, including reduced utility costs, savings on operational costs, healthier and happier guests and employees, and positive publicity, marketing and community goodwill. Many hotels are introducing innovative programs into their operations - from recycling bins in guest rooms to starting a roof top garden. Other hotels are using eco-friendly cleaning products, reusing towels and sheets, sourcing locally grown food, supporting the use of electric vehicles, and permitting guests to refill their reusable water bottles with clean, filtered water. Finally, some hotels are encouraging guests to get involved by making it possible for them to participate in local community clean-up projects. The May issue of the Hotel Business Review will document what some hotels are doing to integrate sustainable practices into their operations and how they are benefiting from them.
