Claridges Hotels in India Joins WORLDHOTELS Portfolio

DECEMBER 6, 2007. Three hotels in India's exclusive luxury hospitality group, Claridges Hotels & Resorts, are joining WORLDHOTELS, the largest and most established Europe based global hotel group for independent hotels and regional hotel brands. The Claridges Hotels & Resorts properties all situated in New Delhi will be the first hotels in India to join the WORDHOTELS portfolio, a significant step in extending WORLDHOTELS global reach into the exciting India travel market.

Joining as a Deluxe Collection member on December 1 2007, The Claridges, New Delhi is an elegantly refurbished historical landmark in the heart of the city dating from the 1950s. The low-rise, art deco hotel set in three acres of beautiful gardens is one of the most prestigious locations in the capital, close to the business district, ministries, diplomatic missions, shopping and cultural centres, and historical landmarks.

With just 137 rooms, it is renowned as New Delhi's premier luxury boutique hotel, with facilities including a swimming pool and health club, conference and banquet facilities for up to 200, and four restaurants serving International, Mediterranean, Chinese and North Indian cuisine. The two other Claridges hotel's to join the WORDHOTELS portfolio are located side-by-side in the upcoming commercial area of South Delhi.

The Atrium Hotel & Conferencing, Surajkund is a four-star business hotel close to the historic Tughlakabad Fort, overlooking the serene Aravali hills. The hotel offers guests 104 tastefully appointed rooms & suites with a delightful 'home away from home' feeling complimented with facilities such as a spa and health club with an outdoor pool, two restaurants and conference facilities for up to 800, including a theatre seating 400. It joins the First Class Collection on December 1 2007.
